The words “Sunderland’s finest” could be applied to all manner of punk bands*, but new cats Tearjerker are very rapidly climbing up the Mackem punk rock league table. Their debut album made my jaw drop and it is still one of my frequent listens, so I was super pleased when Little Rocket head honcho Graeme let me know there was a new offering on the way. 

Both songs on this single are full of passion – melodies by the boatload, with enough grit , spit and sawdust to keep the punks happy. I hear touches of Strung Out or Pegboy here and there, but really these two songs just build on that impressive debut album, adding a little extra sparkle. Stunning. Tom Chapman
