As we approach the release of Pizzatramp’s latest album ‘The Last Supper’ they have released a single with the same name. ‘The Last Supper’ started as a song about what chocolate Jimmy would break vegan edge to eat when he’s about to die, before slowly morphing into the world’s first celebrity cannibal anthem, and surely deserves to reach number 1 in the mainstream pop charts for this fact alone. The video was recorded by Meg in a field last weekend with everybody, and we mean everybody, completely off their heads on Buckfast. Just in case the video doesn’t make this obvious enough.
The Last Supper’ is set for release on the 18th September on vinyl, CD and tape.
Pizzatramp (Pizza Tramp?) continue to be the greatest punk band the U.K has to offer, and have decided it is about time somebody else had a chance. ‘The Last Supper’ will be their last album, and the band will end at some point in 2025. This had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Jim might die if the band carried on, and everything to do with the fact that final tours and albums can be lucrative.
“You can expect it to sound just like the last one, but with even more swearing, faster drums and at least one song about frying Nigel Farage’s testicles” says guitarist and vocalist Jim. In true Pizzatramp fashion, he warns that you should “preorder at own risk, refunds are not available and quite frankly you can all go and fuck yourselves. But thanks for the support obvs xxx.”
The Last Supper was recorded at Pizzatramp HQ, which is a chicken coop with an extension lead off the A48 in South Wales. It was mixed and mastered by the mixing master Ben Hannah at Organworks in Leeds.
