It seems like thrash metal is seeing a resurgence in the twenty teens. Classics like Anthrax, Slayer and Death Angel prove their heartiness and new bands like My Regime emerge. On Dogmas we get to hear a new brand of thrash, a younger generation to carry the torch after Kerry King and Scott Ian end up in the old folks’ home. This album is full of serious shredding and some of the most impressive drumwork I’ve ever heard. While they do sound a lot like Slayer, they also sound like something new, something exciting, something we’ll form a circle pit to. My Regime’s Dogmas makes me believe in the new generation of thrash metal. Jim Dodge
