Zero Again – Revert to Nothing 7” (Little Jans Hammer/Cimex/Sick Word/Kibou)

The second release from this UK bunch featuring something of a who’s who of the South West/Wales scene. There’s a slightly more tribal/anarcho feel to these tracks than on the first EP – think Rudimentary Peni, Killing Joke, early Neurosis – something of a pattern I find with the unmistakable guitar style and backing vocals of Paul Payne (Social Experiment/Regret etc.).

Lyrics are of a personal/political nature covering Trump (I am so looking forward to NOT hearing another song about the man this year), the UK government’s hypocrisy during the pandemic, the passage of time and the concept of facts in an age of Fake News. Another solid release worth picking up. Ian Pickens
