All the things that make life bearable and add a tiny bit of pleasure to an otherwise pointless existence are crushed by Living Gate. Completely nihilistic, old school death metal from whatever circle of Hell they’re influenced by. Almost monotonous, Living Gate smash their way through five pulverizing songs on Deathlust .

Deathlust’s power lies in the ingenious way the pitch black growling screams attempt to choke the living daylight out of the galloping. insane drums.. Hatred holds and binds Living Gate together.  I like it, but as with all of life’s guiltiest of guilty pleasures can only tolerate it in small quantities.
