New York ska institution The Slackers are making a habit of hitting record collectors with beautiful 12″ records such as the lovely Windowland record and here’s the latest offering in the series. Released in advance of the 2024 US presidential elections, this is a rallying call for people to do the right thing and vote, and not get swept up in the anti-democracy rhetoric of the MAGA/ anti-vax crowd.

 Always ones to wear their hearts on their sleeves, The Slackers don’t shy away from taking on tough topics and these two songs continue that tradition. Both tunes are laid-back, soulful dubby ska that ooze style, especially when Dave Hillyard lets the sax do the talking.
