The year is 1613, and England’s foremost playwright is committed to finishing his latest magnum opus, Love’s Labours Won, for his new patron, the Earl of Gloucester. However, he falls asleep while working late at the Globe one night, and when he wakes again, he finds himself in a subtly altered world that is both familiar and yet unfamiliar. What follows is an epic quest through Shakespeare’s own plays in which he finds himself confronted by sinister eldritch forces, before he ultimately has to face down the most terrible of the Great One Olds, the cosmic entity known as Cthulhu.

Shakespeare Vs. Cthulhu: What Dreams May Come is a brand-new interactive fantasy novel, inspired by the Bard’s greatest plays and the eldritch creations of the American pulp horror writer H P Lovecraft. In this adventure gamebook – a multi-path book very much in the style of Choose Your Own Adventure or Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks – you choose the course of the story, deciding which route to take, which perils to risk, and which of the monstrous creatures you will meet along the way to fight.
