Warwound – A Huge Black Cloud CD (Spinyl Vinyl/Boss Tuneage)
One of the very first of the Discharge sound-alike bands reissue their first 3 demos from 1983. A whopping 25 tracks of rough assed D-Beat which faithfully follow the musical/lyrical template laid down by their progenitors (this includes alternate takes of some tracks such as ‘Three Minute Warning’ and ‘Brutal Truth’, and a cover of ‘Never Again’. The quality of the demos is pretty good to be fair, and I’m sure this will go down well with Crust Punks /D-Beat fans but for me I’d rather just listen to early Discharge or indeed the new revitalized Warwound.
