Polished and professional looking/sounding release from this Dublin four piece. Possibly a little too polished for my curmudgeonly taste. It’s rock with a little spikiness that treads similar territory to The Dirty Youth, Kings of Leon, etc. Kinda runs like the soundtrack to a ‘Twilight’ film or a US Teen drama in which earnest and moody boys stare out across a lake while spoiled teenage princesses lie staring at the ceiling. The PR Blurb states that there are undertones of 90’S Grunge which I’m not really feeling – if anything there’s more of a nod to the Alt-Rock of Train. Ian Pickens
