Bigger, better and it’s all for charity

The weekend of June 23rd-25th sees the return of the UK’s best kept secret in terms of festivals. Slugfest 2023 will see nearly 30 bands descend on The Park in beautiful Abertillery for a weekend of Drinking, Dancing and Camping.

What started out in 2008 as a way for the local punk scene to raise money for charity, has outgrown it’s humble beginnings in local venues and now requires an entire field to house it’s revellers.

Over the 3 days you can look forward to seeing the likes of System Of Slaves, Lifer, Dropping Like Flies, Blunt Trauma, Fatal Blow, Crippled Hillbillies, Bottlekids and System Reset to name a few (full line up above) as well as a host of great food and drink vendors…..and it’s all FREE. Any donations on the day will go to help local foodbanks and greatly encouraged.

There’s not a festival in the UK that can match Slugfest’s unique set up. Completely free, with a host of great bands spanning the weekend with the local community directly benefiting and you can even camp and bring your pet. What’s not to like?
