Germany’s Slope are no slouches when it comes to mixing up genres. I’m getting a similar vibe to Turnstile – with Slope, all rules and trends go out of the window as they continue to make their musical vision a reality. Their sound is both bang up to date, but with all manner of nods to some of the great names from a couple of decades ago.

Think Red Hot Chili Peppers, 24-7 Spyz, Beastie Boys, Mucky Pup – in fact, throw them all into the mixer and tip out the results. The ingredients combine to create an infectious, fun sound that is uniquely Slope. Turn on, tune in and get down to the funky sound. Tom Chapman
