My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult – In The House of Strange Affairs (Sleaze Box)

Most of us were introduced to My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult on the soundtrack to The Crow, starring the late Brandon Lee. One song isn’t usually enough to really get a feel for a band but After the Flesh did just that. That was a stellar soundtrack and one of the high points was definitely MLWtTKK and it’s awesome to see them come screaming back with In the House of Strange Affairs. Spoiler Alert: This album is full of atmospheric, gritty, industrial rock and roll. If that doesn’t appeal to you, you might as well return to your local mainstream radio station. With so many great tracks it’s difficult to decide which is my favorite…I guess that’s why I have spent most of the last two days listening to it on repeat. I have no idea why it has taken me so long to return to this great band but I plan to avoid the regret by playing the hell out of In the House of Strange Affairs. Jim Dodge
