Electro Hippies – Deception Of The Instigator Of Tomorrow: The Collected Works 1985-1987 (Boss Tuneage)

Electro Hippies were ace.  They bridged the gap between hardcore punk and grindcore in a spectacular crusty fashion.  When they were hardcore they were on a par with Heresy or Concrete Sox and when they really put their foot down only Napalm Death could really touch them back in the day.

This collection of sixty, yes sixty, tracks, spans their pre-Peaceville time and includes their only Peel Session, their first two demos, two live sets from Birmingham and Manchester and even their first ever practise.

A great look back through time of one of the unsung heroes of the UK punk scene and well worth anyone’s hard-earned sheckles. Darrel Sutton
