Dad Brains Releases Song & Video For “Back To School”

This Oxnard/Ventura, CA-based band of punk rock dads is comprised of former members of No Motiv (Vagrant Records), The Missing 23rd (Sessions Records), Creep Division (members of Sick Of It All, Good Riddance and No Motiv) and The F-ing Wrath.

Not only is Dad Brains made up of punk and hardcore veterans, frontman Patrick Pedraza has been using his voice – but not how you’d expect! Pedraza is a voice actor and he has lent his vocal talents to the Care Bears franchise (“Good Luck Bear”), Genshin Impact (“Scarmouche”), and Fallout 76 (“Mike Tiller”).

The band has been a part of the Pirates Press Records family for 5 years and has made punk parents around the world fall in love with their relatable tunes. With three previous releases available from the label, “Daditude,” Self-Titled EP, and a holiday-themed split with Ramoms, fans are clamouring for even more new music from these talented dads.

Dad Brains started out of emotions skyrocketed with love, fear, anxiety, and all that stuff new daddies think of when they realize that it’s not about “you” anymore. Sleepless nights, dark clouds of hormones, baby poop everywhere, breast milk taking over the freezer and even mother-in-laws sleeping on the living room couch; what else can a musician do to vent but start a band?
