Listen to the gorgeous ballad \”Always Chasing Me\” now / New Album Parlour Tricks available February 24th

\”Always Chasing Me\” appears on Alcoa\’s sophomore full-length album, Parlour Tricks, which will be released on February 24th. The track features vocals from husband/wife duo Derek & Alyssa Archambault and is a beautiful teaser for what\’s to come from the full-length. Check out the song premiere and interview via Ghettoblaster Magazine (and on Soundcloud).

Originally started as a solo/side project, Alcoa formed just over 10 years ago when frontman Derek Archambault was on the road with one of his bands (Defeater) and wanted to do something a little different. The Alcoa project had remained on the backburner until 2013 when Archambault teamed up with a troop of musicians (including his now wife, Alyssa Archambault) and recorded and released their debut LP Bone & Marrow to great critical acclaim. Since its release, Alcoa has shared the stage in various forms along the East Coast with an array of bands and the band has a special record release show for Parlour Tricks scheduled for February 13th. They\’ll play an intimate show at label Bridge Nine\’s headquarters with Aviator and James Carroll (Make Do And Mend) supporting.

Parlour Tricks was recorded near their home in Portsmouth, NH with bandmate and engineer Mike Moschetto. The studio provided a warm and familiar environment for Alcoa, and they etched out this slightly twangy and honest album with shades of wistful, jangly 90’s alternative rock acts.

More information and Alcoa tour dates to be announced soon.
