The Bombpops – Fear of Missing Out (Fat Wreck)

\"\"

You know those records that are so damn catchy that they just get stuck in your head and no matter what you do you just can’t stop thinking about them?  When you can’t stop yourself humming the songs or spontaneously singing the choruses at the worst possible moments (to the guy who was stood next to me at the coffee shop urinal, honestly as far as I know, Jerk isn’t about you) because they’ve burrowed themselves so deeply into your brain that you’ve lost control of your, and by your I mean mine of course, limited reason and even more limited self-control?  Yeah, well, Fear of Missing Out, the latest Go-Go’s jamming with Screeching Weasel and Lagwagon punk rock explosion from The Bombpops is one of those albums. It takes over your mind, makes you lose control and subjects you to a non-stop barrage of fantastically catchy, melodic pop punk that you’ll be singing along to for days, weeks and who knows, maybe even months and years to come. Don’t say I didn’t warn you… Tim Cundle
