New Syncanite Foundation Campaign Launches Today!

Syncanite Games today launches its new Gamefound campaign! This amazing new initiative marks not only the next evolution of the company’s flagship title, the cutthroat board game Syncanite Foundation, but also a carefully designed entry point for new players discovering the property for the first time. Both veteran players and said newcomers will now be able to immerse themselves in the entire setting, including a first novel and an amazing ‘Epic Music’ soundtrack album. 

The campaign builds on the growing reputation of Syncanite Foundation – a strategy-driven board game set in a dark, ‘crystal punk’ universe where players take on the roles of powerful oligarchs competing for global dominance through influence, manipulation, and the control of rare crystalline resources known as Syncanite.

While Expansion I introduces new mechanics, strategic depth, and narrative layers tied to the upcoming novel series, the campaign has been structured to ensure that both returning players and newcomers can engage with the experience in a meaningful way. Rather than positioning the project as content exclusively for existing fans, Syncanite Games presents this release as part of a broader, evolving ecosystem – one that invites players in at multiple levels.

‘The board game was always based on the novels but told the story of the antagonists. With this new campaign, we add the original hero story, making Syncanite a whole experience,’ says Timon Thöne, CEO of Syncanite Games. ‘This campaign reflects our philosophy that players want worlds to immerse themselves in, but also want to share their experiences with others. This campaign expands the experience for our community, but at the same time offers a clear and compelling way for new players and lovers of epic fantasy to step into the world of Syncanite.’

Visually and thematically, Syncanite Foundation continues to distinguish itself through its fusion of dark science fantasy and art deco design, creating a unique identity within the expert board game space. The new campaign pushes this further, refining both the aesthetic presentation and the tactile quality of the components, while deepening the strategic possibilities at the heart of the game. All new art was human-made, specifically commissioned for the game, and more is coming!

Rather than revealing every element at launch, Syncanite Games is adopting a phased approach to the campaign, allowing the project to unfold gradually. This strategy ensures that each aspect – gameplay, production, narrative, and collector-focused elements – receives the attention it deserves without overwhelming the audience.

As the campaign progresses, backers can expect additional reveals that further explore the craftsmanship and ambition behind the project.

Among these is the exploration of a highly exclusive, ultra-premium tier, developed in collaboration with specialized artisans. While details remain under wraps for now, the intent is clear: to push the boundaries of what a board game can represent, not only as a play experience, but as a collector’s piece. More information on this will be unveiled later during the campaign.

At its core, Syncanite Foundation remains focused on delivering a deep, competitive gameplay experience, where every decision shapes the balance of power.
