Geek Cookbook Overload….

Is there a geek in your life that loves to cook? Struggling to find a cool gift for them this Christmas?

Well, fear not, Mass Movement has got you covered, and we’re about to give you the lowdown on two of the best cookbooks the geek in your life can mull over this season and beyond.

Spiderman: The Official Cookbook – Jermaine McLaughlin and Paul Eschbach (Insight Editions)

Peter Parker himself narrates this fantastic book, taking us on a culinary tour of New York, telling us of some of the great food he’s encountered as he chases bad guys across the 5 boroughs. He reflects on the late nights spent with Otto Octavious in the lab eating Chicken Larb, whilst pining for Aunt May’s Wheatcakes. Packed full of over 60 recipes for appetizers, main courses, desserts, and beverages all with beautiful photographs, this is a must for the web slinging foody in your life.

Godzilla: The Official Cookbook – Kayce Baker (Titan Books)

Perhaps your geek has a more of a monster size appetite. Well they don’t come much bigger than the king of the Kaiju Godzilla. As you might expect there’s a lot of Asian influence in this book, but at 160 pages long, there really is something for everyone. There are stuffed sandwiches like the Tokyo Train Car Sandwich, seriously good sides such as the awesomely titled Guaczilla, the delicious Godzilla meatloaf, shaped in the style of the big guys foot and to top it off there’s a Mechagodzilla Head cake. Inspired by the Toho Godzilla movies and creatures Kayce Baker has shown real creativity here in creating meals in quite a niche category.
