After nearly 20 years of service, Caen, France based band The Daltonz are still going strong, and have just delivered another top quality oi! album Hier, Maintenant, Demain. I’m a big fan of the “newer wave” of French bands, but The Daltonz precede them by some years, and their style is also distinctively of the older variety – think Menace, Rejects, 4 Skins.

Bouncing tunes powered by a rock-solid rhythm section, gravel-chewing vocals and clean-ish guitars with little melodies dotted all over the place. As the album title suggests this style will always sound fresh and be loved yesterday, tomorrow and today. 8 songs of pure boots and braces oi! punk, once again The Daltonz are firing on all cylinders and deliver the goods on their new album.
