Video Premiere… The Wolf Howls When I Scream Your Name – Clover

Spread the love

Clover is the fourth single taken from TWHWISYN’s new album ‘Grief Songs’, due for release by Engineer Records on 25th October 2021.

Clover is about the perspective of someone trying to save their partner from the perils of addiction. It also takes on how misunderstood an addict is when dealing with non addicts. Judged and met with unhelpful advice. Addiction is a disease. Our ‘just stop’ culture must end. Addiction is a mental and medical condition“ – Matty / TWHWISYN

Clover (lyrics)

Hey, send it over I could do with a dream like that today,

You ripped the head from the clover,

Because you’re sick to death of trying to fill those shoes… ,

I was just trying to figure it out,

Whilst you were running ‘round town trying to make some sound,

They treat you like a clown, and you’re sick to death of trying to fill those shoes,

“Just make me over” I think we’ve heard the words to this one before,

They said that you got sober, but you knew deep down that you were going to lose,

I was just trying to figure it out,

Whilst you were running ‘round town trying to make some sound,

They treat you like a clown, and you’re sick to death of trying to fill those shoes,

I couldn’t watch you drown whilst the whole world out there thinks that you’re a fool,

What’s with that frown?,

Like always it is about you “I just need some time to get a little better” but does it?
