Outside, the predominant colours of Autumn are yellows and browns, but slip this record on and you’re whisked right back off to those deep and relaxed Summer evenings of blue skies and red sunsets. The masters of self-medication are back with a couple of mellow minutes for you.
In keeping with an old tradition, this record contains the title track Blue, and an accompanying dub version. The title song is a laid-back number, full of reverb, warm brass instruments and haunting vocals. This is definitely chilled out reggae and not uptempo ska. When the a-side is down, recline your chair back another notch or two, and let the heavy dub sounds wash over you. Bliss…. Tom Chapman
