Steve Austin (Today Is The Day)

Formed in the early 90’s in Tennessee, they’ve been labelled Noisecore, Experimental Rock, Grindcore, Post Hardcore amongst other things, call them what you want Today Is The Day are revered by musicians and fans alike and are true legends of extreme rock. Their head honcho is the enigmatic Steve Austin who has also produced some of metal/hardcore’s most celebrated albums from the likes of Converge, Deadguy and Lamb of God. Currently touring to celebrate 20 years of their seminal album Temple of the Morning Star, we caught up with Steve backstage at their gig in The Frog and Fiddle in Cheltenham.
