Randy Savages – Intercontinental / Guilty of Nuthin’ (Wrecked ‘Em Wreckords)

This is Randy Savages’ debut single? Really?! It seems like these boys have been hogging a killer line-up poster or a hundred around ol\’ London Town (and beyond) since forever. The best things come to those who wait, eh? With this double A-side single, Randy Savages jump off the top rope and dropkick your already bleeding ears with punked-up garage rock fury from the drawer labelled “New Bomb Turks fuckin’ rule!!!”

Recorded in a homemade studio constructed from two shipping containers in a garden, this self-produced aural attack is D.I.Y. to its rotten core. There’s fizzy guitars aplenty as the band know a catchy pop hook or two. Intercontinental, with its bastard cousin of The D4 stylings, culminates in outro “heys” that froth into a fit of cheers and you can smell the spilt beer through the speakers. Providing your nose isn’t clogged up with shit cocaine, of course. Coupled with the frantic Guilty of Nuthin’, this is one hell of a quick 1-2 of no holds barred rock ‘n’ roll.

The single hits the punk rock merch stands on 13th July at their launch party at The Lock Tavern in Camden Town. Oil up and be there. Randy Savages? OH YEAH! Ginge Knievil
