Oblivious – Out Of Wilderness

Oblivious – Out Of Wilderness CD (Gaphals)
With Oblivious you most certainly get a very intense whiff of the stoner/Southern vibe. ‘Out Of Wilderness’ hammers home some driving rock melody and loads of tune, it blends sounds that will simply make you shake ya booty. ‘Dirty Hand’ excretes a laid back, but extremely weighty groove; dirty riffs and blues soaked vocals concoct a satisfying brew of whiskey soaked gratification. Incorporating the soulful side of things does not in anyway stray from the path of heavy rock, even metallic intensity one could say. Plenty of ruckus guitars that freely bleed huge dirty riffs give Oblivious a real solid sound and turn them into a genuine piece of boogie. Comparisons can obviously be found along the way, that’s for sure, and if Masters Of Reality is something that floats your boat, then ‘Riding Down’ is a great association here, with it’s sonic groove and deep soulful stance. Oblivious are a welcomed experience in a somewhat over saturated genre. Mark Freebase
