Hoax – The Enemy Without (Self)

Hot damn, I love this sort of vicious, anger riddled, fury driven punk rock. Hoax have been plucked straight out of the eighties UKHC scene by a D-Beat powered time machine and sound like the bastard offspring of Symbol of Freedom and Los Crudos who after being abandoned at birth and left outside of Amoeba Records wrapped in nothing but tattered Varukers record sleeves, was then raised to adulthood by Sacrilege in a tiny cabin in the woods far from the rest of humanity. Like I said, I love this kind of punk rock, the sort that’s fuelled entirely by venom and vitriol and I’m pretty sure, given that you’re reading this, that you do too. So what are you waiting for? Check ‘em out…  Tim Cundle
