Calling all writers, scenesters and Hardcore Kids…  Are you hardcore enough for Hardcore Horror?

Hardcore Horror is a forthcoming horror based anthology of short stories whose authors who have been involved, and are still active in, the Hardcore / Punk scene. It is due to be published by Earth Island Books in 2022.

The book will comprise of thirty (ish) stories, the subject matter of each is entirely up to the individual author but thematically, must be genre (Horror) specific.

The submission policy is by open invitation – anyone can submit a story, but please don’t be offended if your tale doesn’t make the cut this time.

Any, and all, short stories submitted for possible inclusion in Hardcore Horror should be in standard MS format (double spaced, good margins, contact details, approximate word count and page numbers) and attached to an email, as either an RTF (Rich Text File) or Word Document, that includes a brief biography detailing the author’s Punk / Hardcore related history. Story length should be between 3,000 and 10,000 words.

There are, and will be, no upfront payments for any successful submissions, but any stories that are featured in Hardcore Horror will be rewarded with author copies of the book and a royalty share (after publication costs are covered) for the writers.

Submissions are now open and will close on October 31st 2021. All stories submitted before, or on, the closing date will be considered for the anthology.
