Dizzolve – The Hookwirm EP (Machine Man)

Schwenksville/Lansdale industrial metallers Dizzolve have dropped The Hookwirm EP and this is one tasty treat for my tinnitus-afflicted ears. I find them to be reminiscent of Skinny Puppy, Bile, and KMFDM. This is wonderful news because you know that a band with this type of sound is going to be heavy as fuck, perfectly laced with electronic elements, and deeply hypnotic. In fact, the only gripe I have is that there aren’t more songs on this album for me to enjoy. Yes, my prejudice of EPs still endures but fantastic bands like Dizzolve manage to break through that barrier and give me goosebumps that last for the entirety of the sonic journey their release guides me through. I sincerely hope these guys release a full-length album in the near futureand that it hits my inbox so I can write another glowing review for Dizzolve. For now I’ll bang my balding head to The Hookwirm EP and consider myself lucky. Jim Dodge
