Ladies and gentlemen – clap your hands and stamp your feet, here comes Claimed Choice from Lyon, France. Brush off the denim and polish your boots as this is a right old knees-up. This eight song EP bounces along, featuring some tight drumming, near-clean-sounding guitars, pounding basslines and nicotine-and-whisky soaked vocals.

At times it reminds me of fellow countrymen The Janitors but with a wider range of influences. A hefty dose of punk washed down with glam and pub rock chasers galore. Claimed Choice round off their EP with a rousing version of Bosh Bash Bosh by The Jook. Fans of any of the above are going to lap this up. Tom Chapman
