Issa – Crossfire CD (Frontiers)
So the cover caught your eye, huh…? Norwegian melodic rock – a la Heart, with a real 80’s feel, but magnified by modern day production. Heavily rooted in keyboard based rhythm and laced with delicate guitar work; ‘Crossfire’ is a real treat for melodic rock fans. Issa delivers songs that are oozing with plenty of harmonious sing-a-longs and delightfully executed female vocals. Teaming up with FM frontman Steve Overland for the moving ballad ‘Raintown’ will certainly please quite a few people. Takes me back to my want-ant teen past – brilliant! Mark Freebase
