1980s Doctor Who companions VS the Slitheen!

Two new full-cast audio adventures featuring The Fifth Doctor and his TARDIS team are now available to own on collector’s edition CD or download.

The latest release in the Doctor Who Monthly Adventures range features two separate stories, picking up immediately after the events of last month’s Time Apart. In Thin Time, the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison) is shut in a spooky house with some intriguing, not to say outlandish, characters.

Elsewhere, the 1980s TARDIS team encounter a monster from modern-era Doctor Who in Madquake. Nyssa (Sarah Sutton), Tegan (Janet Fielding) and former Roman slave Marc (George Watkins) come face to face with bug-eyed aliens in the form of the Slitheen (who made their television debut in the 2005 Doctor Who story, Aliens of London).

Will they survive to be reunited with the Doctor?

This anthology contains two thrilling adventures:

Thin Time by Dan Abnett

Hallowe’en, 1892. Celebrated novelist Charles Crookshap claims to have been receiving time communiqués, promising secrets that could change the world forever. But when the TARDIS interrupts the household’s evening, the Doctor realises he isn’t the only alien interloper in London.

Madquake by Guy Adams

Abandoned on the planet Callanna, Nyssa, Tegan and Marc take advantage of its therapeutic atmosphere to come to terms with recent events; but others seek to take advantage too. The Slitheen are on their way – and they’re ready to sell this world to the highest bidder!

Director, Scott Handcock said: “Thin Time and Madquake is another double-bill release written by Dan Abnett and Guy Adams respectively. Our TARDIS teams are still separated from one another so the first tale focuses on the Doctor’s exploits, while the second checks in on his companions.

“Knowing the Doctor won’t be around and continuity isn’t threatened, I couldn’t resist including a monster from the 2005 series of Doctor Who. Did anyone imagine Tegan and Nyssa would face off against the Slitheen? Probably not, but they do, and it provides a bit of levity against the more emotional story arcs we’ve been building.”

Doctor Who: Thin Time / Madquake is now available to own as a collector\’s edition boxset (on CD at £14.99) and as a digital download (at £12.99) exclusively from www.bigfinish.com
